Organizations of indigenous communities called Neighbor Meetings and/or Traditional indigenous communities seek and utilize government subsidies for access to water and other resources.

The impacts of climate change, such as drought, floods, extreme weather events and reduced food and water security, affect women and men differently with the poorest being the most vulnerable. 70 per cent of the world’s poor are women.
